 Day One – Housing Choice Voucher Program Financial Update

·               Better understanding the NRA (Net Restricted Assets):
o   what it is and how it is calculated,
o   verifying that your NRA balance is correct,
o   synchronizing the NRA per FDS, VMS, HUD funding database and other,
o   and how to manage the NRA;
·               Better understanding the NUA (Net Unrestricted Assets):
o   what it is and how it is determined,
o   monitoring,
o   and rules for spending;
·               Enhancing program monitoring including leasing levels, spending on HAP, and spending on Administrative Expenses;
·               Engaging in longer term projections for spending, budget authority, and NRA in order to provide more stability and more effectively manage utilization;
